AGAPE is the Skylight Gallery’s debut exhibition of the masterful works of Mario Andres Robinson. As an artist of ever rising prominence, he shares a comparable level of proficiency that is to be found in works by Henry Ossawa Tanner, Andrew Wyeth, Diego Velazquez, John Singer Sargent, or Charles White. His intimate and powerful portraits of his family and friends in rural environs have been included in numerous exhibitions. His work has been highlighted in the American Paintings Auction at Sotheby’s. The Bank of America also includes several of Mr. Robinson’s major works in its permanent collection. Some of these works were included in the “Mixing Metaphors” national traveling, curated by Deborah Willis. The Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation, Center for Art and Culture’s Skylight Gallery and its community partners invites you to join with us in celebrating the art of Mario Andres Robinson.
